In the community

Sponsorship

We sponsor many local sports teams, including Bradford Tigers Under 9s Football team, Thackley Cricket Club and Idle Bowling Club. We also regularly make donations to groups in the local community including Immanuel Community College and Stonebridge Nursing Home and regularly supply prizes for local fundraising events.

We sponsor the New Community Arts Academy (TNCAA) that is based in Bradford. They are a Community Theatre and Music group that involve people from all parts of the community and all ages, including young people with special needs who would not otherwise get opportunities to perform.

We also sponsor Kevin Firth, a local Bradford amateur snooker player, who is captain of the Bradford No.1 squad and plays for the England Seniors, this year reaching the final. Our sponsorship helps pay the costs of travelling around the country representing Bradford at an England level.

We recently sponsored Stagecraft School of Drama’s production of ‘Be My Baby’ which was successfully performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August.

Charities

Since 2006 we have supported the NSPCC, donating in excess of £4,000 to date. We also support The Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen (Fishermen’s Mission) who help provide emergency and welfare support to Britain’s fishermen and their families. In June 2010 we raised over £1,760 for the Fishermen’s Mission and in June 2012 we raised a further £1,123 with our ‘Fish Friday’ Promotion.

In December 2012, instead of running a Facebook offer of the day, Towngate Fisheries donated £1 for every ‘like’ or ‘share’ generate on our Facebook page raising a total of £500 for the homeless charity Shelter.

Fundraising events

If your community organisation is holding a fundraising event such as a quiz evening, we can supply fish and chips at a greatly discounted price to help your evening along the way! Use our contact form to find out more.
