Nutritional information
We've had our fish, chips and mushy peas professionally analysed by Campden Technology Limited for nutritional content. The results show that a typical portion of Towngate Fisheries’ fish, chips and peas contains only 7.6% fat and only 184 calories per 100g. This means that if you eat a 430g portion it will contain only 792 calories!
Even more surprisingly, a portion of our chips contained just 7.2% fat – so you can eat them with a clear conscience!
This means our fish and chips contain less fat and calories than burgers, kormas or pizzas plus they’re a valuable source of high quality protein, carbohydrates, vitamins, iron, calcium and dietary fibre. White fish is also an excellent part of a healthy diet and the government recommends you eat at least two portions of fish a week.
