Our fish and chips are 100% natural with no artificial colouring and no preservatives added. They contain less fat and fewer calories than most other takeaway foods, plus they are a valuable source of high quality protein, carbohydrates, vitamins, iron, calcium and dietary fibre.
Fish is an excellent source of Omega-3, a very important fatty acid that our bodies can’t produce on their own. It also contains vitamins B6 and B12 and is high in low-fat protein. The government recommends we eat at least two portions of seafood a week.
Potatoes are high in fibre and are a good source of vitamin C. They are also a good source of potassium which helps the nervous system function. Mushy peas are a good source of fibre and contain less than 1% fat – they also count as one of your 5-a-day!
