Mislabelled fish - not at Towngate!

There has been lots in the news today about the mislabelling of fish so we just wanted to reassure our customers that at Towngate Fisheries you will always get the product you expect.

All our haddock is Icelandic frozen at sea, as we believe this is the best quality fish available and produces the freshest and best tasting product. It is boned and portioned on the premises every morning. It is sustainably sourced from managed fishing grounds so we can protect the stocks of fish for years to come.

Look out for the provenance poster in our shop which explains exactly where our haddock was caught and by which ship. It also details the origins of our chips.
