Fishermen’s Mission Charity Award

Earlier this month, Towngate Fisheries owner Mark travelled to London to receive a special award recognising more than 15 years of dedicated fundraising for the Fishermen’s Mission.

The event celebrated individuals and businesses that have made a significant contribution to supporting fishermen and their families through the charity’s vital work. Adding to the occasion, the charity’s patron, Princess Anne, was in attendance and took the time to personally meet and speak with each award recipient.

Mark described the experience as a memorable one – and even found time to chat with The Princess Royal about a shared national favourite: fish and chips.

Towngate Fisheries’ commitment to the Fishermen’s Mission is set to continue, with plans already in place to raise further funds on National Fish & Chip Day, taking place on Friday 5th June. More details on how customers can get involved will be announced closer to the date.
