Towngate Fisheries shortlisted for second national award
15 November 2016
Towngate Fisheries is thrilled to announce that it has been shortlisted in the ‘Healthy Eating Fish and Chips Award’ category of the 2017 National Fish & Chip Awards.
This is the second category we have been shortlisted in for the 2017 awards, having already been shortlisted in the ‘From Field To Frier Award’ category.
Now in their 29th year, the National Fish & Chip Awards recognise and reward businesses producing the best fish and chips across the UK. Their aim is to raise quality standards and provide a benchmark for businesses to aspire to.
Finalists in the ‘Healthy Eating Fish and Chips Award’ category are appraised across a variety of judging criteria including menu diversification and innovation to include healthier options, staff training on product contents and ingredients, promotional and marketing activity to highlight healthy meal options to customers, and the monitoring of customer feedback on healthier menu options.
As you probably remember, this is an award that we won back in 2015 so we’re really hoping we can go on to win it again this year!
The winner of the 2017 Awards will be announced at a glittering ceremony in London on 26 January 2017. Wish us luck!
